Scholarship program

Project Goals

The goal of this project is to provide financial assistance to talented Zoroastrian graduate students in Iran, encouraging academic excellence, active community engagement, and long-term leadership. The scholarship seeks to strengthen connections among Zoroastrians worldwide—especially between those in Iran and India—while promoting service, collaboration, and shared values within the global Zoroastrian network.

What the Program Is

We aim to provide financial support to Zoroastrian graduate students in Iran to help them:

  • Continue their education and professional development
  • Stay motivated and engaged with the Zoroastrian community
  • Build stronger connections with the global network

Why This Matters

  • No existing scholarships for Zoroastrian graduate students in Iran
  • High academic potential under financial pressure
  • Risk of decreased community involvement
  • Small support → big impact on motivation and excellence

Implementation steps include:

  1. The application opens in April 2026
  2. Evaluating candidates according to three main criteria: community engagement, academic performance, and professional promise.
  3. Selecting 15 recipients across three financial tiers.
  4. Announcing awards in June 2026 and distributing funds in July 2026.

Expected Results (Outcomes)

The scholarship will improve educational access and motivation among Zoroastrian students in Iran, encourage greater participation in community life, and build stronger connections between Zoroastrians in Iran and the global community. It will help identify and support role models who combine strong academic performance with social responsibility.

Beneficiaries

Primary beneficiaries are Zoroastrian graduate students living and studying in Iran. Donors, mentors, and members of the global Zoroastrian community also play an essential role in sustaining and expanding the program.

Budget / Financial Plan

The annual budget is USD 10,000, distributed among 15 students as follows: This scholarship does not just fund education;

  • 1 student: USD 1,500 - Top community leader and scholar
  • 3 students: USD 1,000 each - Strong leaders, high impact
  • 11 students: USD 500 each - Motivated students with strong potential

Due to financial restrictions, transfers from India to Iran will be facilitated through a secure intermediary in Dubai, India and USA.

Long-Term Vision

This scholarship represents the first stage of a broader effort to support education and leadership among young Iranian Zoroastrians. Over time, it aims to grow through international donations, build a sustainable mentorship and alumni network, and inspire future generations to combine academic excellence with community service.
